Here is a great older slotter (vertical shaper): an Ormerod 8 in. slotter. These Ormerod slotters were considered the Rolls Royce of British slotters, and Ormerod also made many well-known models of metal shapers.

Notes

This slotter is now in our heated warehouse, but needs TLC, WD40 and a clean-up to run again. The Y-axis Acme lead screw needs replacing (it got damp and rusted on the exposed part). The slide looks fine and operable.
